With rapid advances in technology, software and cloud platforms driving digital transformation, online security is an ongoing concern to business of all sizes.
Hackers are ever-more sophisticated in their approach to data breaches, phishing scams and ransom ware attacks. Even basic hackers and opportunists can cause major disruption and it costs businesses ill afforded time and resources to sort out.
According to research by IBM, it takes 280 days to find and contain the average cyber-attack, while the average attack costs $3.86 million .
That’s why we’ve signed up to the Cyber Essential scheme and have become certified for our commitment to securing our IT against cyber-attacks.
What is Cyber Essentials?
By working with Cyber Essentials Partner, IASME, we’ve undertaken a self-assessment against five basic security controls and a qualified assessor has audited and verified the information provided. Cyber Essentials helps us to guard against the most common cyber threats and demonstrate our commitment to cyber security and is renewed annually to keep as up to date as possible.
Protecting your business
Not only does the Cyber Essentials accreditation reassure our customers that we fully understand our security level, it demonstrates that we are working to secure the digital products we develop against a cyber-attack.
Chris Coomber, Co-founder and Director at 4FX commented:
“By completing the Cyber Essentials accreditation, we can demonstrate our commitment to IT security and our clients can be reassured that cyber safety is a priority for the team. Basic things like using secure passwords, installing regular software updates, using a VPN and only clicking links to trusted sites is a good start, but we also build in extra security measures to protect data, including penetration testing on all our websites. Plus, we work to the security by design principles on all our projects.”
